Type 2 Diabetes – Keep your weight and blood sugar levels under control



If you suffer from Type 2 Diabetes you should focus on your weight and blood sugar reading.  Hence it is important to control your blood sugar and your weight by improving your food habits and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

You should try and keep your stress levels low and even though it is difficult, it can be minimized by doing regular exercises which not only helps control your blood sugar levels but also your weight.   Do exercise which you enjoy first and do not exercise continuously; even 3-4 times a week is sufficient. You should try and stop snacking and eat smaller portions.  Eat more fiber as you feel you have eaten more when you actually have eaten less.  To improve your fiber intake, have foods like whole grains, fruits and vegetables.  Drink more water and stay hydrated but avoid diet drinks.  Drink less alcohol to improve your health.
