Follow the right diabetes diet

Diabetes is a disease which affects the blood sugar levels and the main ones are Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and it is very important for anyone suffering from it to know the type of diabetes they have so that they follow the right type of diabetes diet.  Todays lifestyle and poor eating habits, diabetes has become very common.  To reduce diabetes, we should exercise and reduce sugar and have a low-fat diet.  Exercise regularly as it helps to improve the way your body utilizes insulin and help your body burn fat and build muscle. Exercise will keep you healthy and will you be more energetic.

People suffering from diabetes should take their meals regularly especially their breakfast which should not be skipped. The other meals should be comprised with a third of carbohydrates, a third of protein and of course a third of vegetables or fruits. Food with fat can cause digestion rate to go down and raises cholesterol level. Carbohydrates should also be minimized because they turn into sugar that would make the condition worse.

Type 2 diabetes is caused normally due to excessive food intake which causes obesity; hence people suffering from this diabetes should have food which helps control the level of sugar in the body.  Include high fiber diet food like wheat and rice, preferably unpolished, vegetables and fruits which are low in sugar like blueberries, cherries and strawberries. Avoid foods that contain oils, grease, fats and refined sugar as these foods increase the sugar level in the blood. Cakes, dairy products, candies, cookies and other sugary types are few examples. Lead a healthy lifestyle and eating a diet high in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains and small amount of lean protein is the perfect meal for people suffering diabetes and for the development of this illness.
